Medical Technologist (MT)


Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director, the MT is responsible for providing efficient and accurate analysis of specimens processed in the clinical laboratory to provide quality patient care services.
Minimum Education:
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited college.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
MT
ASCP/AMT/ AAB eligible or equivalent, experience preferred
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
Knowledge and skills to perform procedures in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology/Serology, Urinalysis, and Limited Microbiology.
Work Schedule:
8-12 hr shifts including rotating holidays and weekends, must be able to work alone, phlebotomy is a must. The position will also be responsible for maintenance and quality control.
This department provides coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days/week including weekends and holidays. Generally scheduled 8-12 hour shifts. Schedules and work shifts may be changed with respect to patient procedure demands. Depending on volume, staff may have the opportunity to float to other shifts or locations.
